Run: Malakoff Penang 2013

Achievement: Finishing medal
Malakoff Penang 2013 was my fourth run and the longest distance so far, 17 km. And the excited thing was that I received my first ever finishing medal. In the last three run, the medal only limited to first 100 finisher, thus I unable to get even I pass the cut-off time.
I did not train much for this run for the reason I really busy with my lab work. The only preparation I’ve make was 6 km run around Transkrian which was 2 days before the event.
During the first 10 Km, I run in normal pace and don’t feel much tired. But the last 7 km, I started to lost my energy and the 7 km seem to far from finishing line. To make it worst, I started to feel the ankle pain which caused me to slow pace.
Anyway, I need more practice for the marathon. I eyes to participated in more run in near future and targeting to participate in my first triathlon next year. Insya-Allah. I need to keep training for run, swim and eventually need to buy the bike as triathlon involve those three sport discipline.

There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren’t the way you had hoped they would be. You feel helpless and lost your life direction. That’s normal, everyone going through this.
That’s when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down. But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself. After all, you are the ones who will make your life, what you want. So, why you have to down by other people action?.
There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them.
Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are.
So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to (more…)

My Second run
Run: Valdor Run 2012
Distance: 11.0 km
Achievement: Below cut-off time(certificate)
Nothing much to say. I finished within the cut-off time but still failed to get medal as it only for first 400 finisher. Overall, I did worst than my first run NTRC. Though it’s only 11 km, but along the route there are many a kind of hill that we need to climb. To make it worst, I did not prepare much for this run.
Anyway good try, keep it up. Need more practice for next run.
Next run will be on January, insya-Allah.
I will push myself for better result in next run, insya-Allah.

Finally, after long-waited I have the Sami Yusuf new album, Salaam. Thanks to someone who helped me to get this and send through Pos Laju to me. Very much appreciate her.

Previously, when I bought Maher Zain album, Forgive me and Irfan Makki I believe, it comes with lyrics book that attached inside the album. But not for this Salaam album.
Salaam album came with 16 tracks. Some of them have been released earlier in YouTube such as Forgotten Promises, It’s a Game and I am Your Hope.
Sami Yusuf keep his traditional music styles, singing in english and mixed with arabic, malay and urdu. Listen to Sami songs never fail to make me smile and cheer. Excellent job Sami!!!.
My first run
Run: NTCRC Run
Distance: 9.7 km
I finished the run below the cut-off time(90 min) and only managed to get the finisher certificate. I did not get the medal because its only for the first 500 finisher. That not really good run for me as I did stop few times during the run. If I keep continue run without stop on during the tournament, perhaps I can finish the run as first 500 and qualify to get medal.
That was my first run and hopefully become starting point to participate in more run/marathon in the future.

I am currently further my postgraduate study in one of university in Malaysia. Insya-Allah, I will graduate by next year as the duration of study is only one year.
Whenever I feel tired and need a rest I used to seat on the sofa in the living room while looking outside through the window. Our hostel is like small house which has three rooms and each room can be occupied by two people. We are sharing the same living room and small kitchen.
There is a primary school located opposite the hostel. So much so, during afternoon I can see the primary school student back to their house. Whatever I see those school students, they tired face with heavy bag at back and their joke with friends, it’s always remembered me to my old school days.
My school days were back on 15 years ago. As people said, School life was so fun and interesting. We don’t have to think much. Free from responsibilities and commitment. We don’t have to worry about materialistic and we have big dreams and free imagination.

Seorang teman bertanya kepada saya;
” Aku nak tanya hang satu soalan, hang percaya ka kalau kita nak berjaya kena buat jahat juga?”.
Saya tidaklah sangat tersentak dengan persolan sebegitu. Memang sudah lama saya memikirkan persoalan ini, melihatkan suasana pekerjaan yang dilalui. Ya, memang ada orang yang berfikiran begitu, menindas orang lain atau menipu dengan tujuan untuk dilihat baik oleh boss atau melepaskan diri dari kesilapan diri sendiri. Jadi mudahlah untuk naik pangkat.
Saya menjawab;
“Nak buat jahat tu mudah, yang susahnya nak buat baik. Kalau aku nak buat jahat, dah lama dah aku buat”.
Cerita Seorang Wanita
Dikisahkan seorang wanita datang mengadu kepada seorang pakar motivasi. Katanya dia sangat sedih dengan pekerjaan yang dilaluinya. Dia sudah lama bekerja disebuah syarikat swasta namun tidak pernah menerima kenaikan pangkat. Walhal ada pekerja yang masuk bekerja terkemudian darinya sudah menjawat jawatan yang lebih tinggi darinya. Katanya, mereka pandai membodek boss. Tidak sepertinya yang tidak banyak bercakap dan tidak pandai membodek. Dia sedaya upaya berkerja dengan jujur dan ikhlas.
Lalu, pakar motivasi itu bertanya,
” Akak ada berapa orang anak”
” 3 orang anak lelaki”
” Bagaimana keadaan mereka sekarang?”
“Alhamdulilah, mereka semua sedang belajar dipusat tahfiz”
” Masya-Allah, hebat tu,”
Lihat, walaupun wanita terebut tidak diberikan rezeki dengan kenaikan pangkat, tapi dia diberi rezeki dalam bentuk yang lain, iaitu dengan anak-anak yang soleh,anak-anak yang menghafal al-Quran.
Dan tahukah anda apakah ganjaran untuk ibubapa yang anaknya menghafal al-Quran?
Nabi S.A.W. bersabda maksudnya : “Sesiapa membaca al-Quran dan beramal dengan apa yang terkandung dalamnya maka kedua dua ibu bapanya akan dipakaikan mahkota pada hari kiamat yang sinaran mahkota itu akan melebihi daripada cahaya matahari , sungguhpun matahari itu berada di dalam rumah-rumah kamu di dunia ini”.

Rezeki dari Allah itu datang dalam berbagai bentuk; wang ringgit, anak-anak yang soleh, isteri yang baik dan rakan-rakan yang sentiasa mengajak kita ke arah kebaikan. Kalau kita hanya fikir ynag rezeki itu hanyalah duit dan harta benda maka sudah tentu kita akan kecewa setiap kali gagal mendapatkannya.
Yang pasti, kita harus percaya yang setiap perbuatan baik kita akan dibalas oleh Allah dan balasannya datang dalam berbagai bentuk.
